This program, launched in May 2022, is dedicated to promoting civic education and cultivating common values among children aged 8 to 10, empowering them to become active contributors to their communities. The initiative kicked off with a series of engaging and interactive activities designed to introduce the participating students to the fundamentals of civic education. From understanding their rights and responsibilities to gaining awareness of the importance and process of elections and voting, the program aimed to provide a holistic view of citizenship. Students delved into learning about responsible driving, traffic signs, and the circulation of money in society, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of their role in the community. One of the highlights of the initiative was the collaboration with Kazadoo, resulting in a customized interactive play and songs that addressed civic education issues in a fun and engaging manner. Students were given the opportunity to exercise their civic duty in a municipality election role-play, receiving their own "Citizens of the Future" passport complete with fingerprints as proof of their participation. This hands-on approach not only reinforced the lessons learned but also instilled a sense of pride and responsibility among the young participants. The success of the initiative was evident in the overwhelming response from the students. With over 300 participants on day two alone, the program facilitated engaging activities, group discussions, and the aforementioned mock voting experience. The enthusiasm and energy of the young participants showcased their eagerness to learn and actively contribute to their communities. In a particularly inspiring moment, the initiative empowered the young leaders to make a choice in a municipality election role-play – opting for sustainable energy over Disneyland and entertainment areas. This decision reflected the passion and awareness of the youth in building a sustainable community for future generations.
